Once Iām booked as your wedding officiant, youāll complete a ceremony questionnaire thatāll give me some amazing insights into who you are as a couple.
This information lets me get inside your head (and your heart!) to help me craft an unforgettable custom-designed wedding ceremony for you and your guests.
I encourage my couples to be as detailed as possible and spill all those quirky details about yourselves so I can use them as inspiration for something beautiful. It's definitely one of my favorite parts of being an officiant!
The Ceremony Script Is Not Shared
There are two things you should know about preserving the integrity of the wedding ceremony script: (1) if youāre having a wedding rehearsal, we donāt rehearse the actual ceremony script and (2) the ceremony script is not shared with you or your Planner.

When it comes to your wedding day, here is a quick snapshot of what my itinerary looks like for your big day!
MY ARRIVAL: I arrive approximately 1 hour before start time. I check in with both your Planner and the venue to let everyone know that the Officiant is IN DA BUILDINNNG!! š
THE CEREMONY: I show up with a beautifully curated wedding ceremony tailored just for you. I then check out the ceremony space to do a mic check and to make sure that all is in accordance with what we discussed (ritual paraphernalia, etc.)
THE MARRIAGE LICENSE: If I ran your rehearsal, I collect the Marriage License at rehearsal. If you didnāt have a rehearsal, the Marriage License is the first thing I ask for when I get to the wedding venue.
THE WEDDING RECEPTION: I donāt typically stay for the wedding reception ā but Iāll be sure to have a toast to you both before I leave!
AFTER THE WEDDING: On the very next business day, I process your Marriage License with the appropriate Registrarās office then communicate with you how to obtain your Certified Marriage Certificate.
If you got married in New York, your Certified Marriage Certificate will be mailed to you in short order. If you got married in New Jersey or Philly, there is an additional step, I provide you with all that info.

For this aspect of your wedding day, I encourage you to pick a professional wedding officiant.
Your wedding ceremony is a very special and unique moment created just for you, so it's important that the person you pick to spearhead this part of your day is not a cheap fly by night officiant.
